Here’s a quick rundown on what you can expect to happen next.

  • We’ll review your site

We’ll have a look at your existing website if you have one. It gives us a starting point in understanding what your business is about. We’ll take a look at the good and not so good points of the website to see where we can make significant improvements. There’s no commitment from you at this stage.

  • We’ll talk it over with you

We’ll discuss with you over the phone what you need from your new website, what your business goals are, the areas of your business you want to highlight, etc. We can then suggest which website package best suits your needs, but it’s your decision. We’ve outlined some of the differences between packages below.

  • We’ll get you onboard

Once you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll get you signed-up and we can begin working on your new website. You’ll be able to send us any images, content, etc for us to use and we’ll send you progress updates as we work. You’ll be sent a link to review your new website once it’s ready.

Starter

How many pages do you need for your website? For a new business that’s testing the waters and wanting to get online quickly and inexpensively, these are the most common:

Home Page

The home page is the first page that visitors will see when they come to your website, so it’s important to make a good impression. Your home page should include a brief overview of your business, your contact information, and links to your other pages.

About Page

The about us page is a great place to tell your story and share your values. This is an opportunity to connect with potential customers on a personal level and show them why they should choose your business over the competition.

Services Page

The services page is where you’ll list your products or services in detail. Be sure to include clear descriptions, pricing information, and any other relevant details. This page should be clear and concise, and it should make it easy for visitors to find the information they need.

Contact Page

The contact page is where visitors can get in touch with you. Make sure you include your phone number, email address, and physical address. You may also want to include a contact form so that visitors can submit their questions or requests online.

Professional

If you’ve outgrown a starter website, you’re going to need additional pages to provide more information to customers and target more search terms. These are some of our recommendations:

Additional Services

If you offer a variety of services, you may want to create a separate page for each service. This will make it easier for customers to find the information they need about the services that you offer.

FAQs

An FAQ page is a great way to answer common questions that your customers may have. This can help to improve the user experience of your website and reduce the number of support requests that you receive.

Case Studies / Projects

Case studies are a great way to showcase your work and demonstrate your expertise. They can be used to attract new customers, build trust with existing customers, and generate leads.

Portfolio

If you have a portfolio of work, you should have a page dedicated to it. This will help customers see your work and get a better idea of your skills and abilities.

Growth

Large websites have a lot of content and features, so they need to be organised in a way that makes it easy for users to find what they’re looking for. Establishing authority and expertise increases customer conversions and improves your search results, but it does require more website content.

No delays, no surprises, no worries.

Blog / Articles

A blog is a great way to share news, updates, and insights with your customers. It can also help you build relationships with potential customers and establish yourself as an expert in your field.

Support Section

If you offer support for your products or services, you might want to have a dedicated support section on your website. This will make it easy for users to get help with their problems.

Job Postings

If you’re hiring, you might want to have a dedicated jobs section on your website. This will make it easy for users to find out about open positions and apply for jobs.

News & Events

If you have a lot of news to share, you might want to have a dedicated news section on your website. If you host events, you can create a page for them on your website to promote them.

Our Website Build Packages

What are you getting with our website packages?

Website design and development

We design and build your website from a blank sheet. We prefer to build our websites this way because we want your site to be unique and designed to your specific needs.

A hand-crafted website doesn’t rely on templates or layout frameworks so the only limit to customisation and creativity is the capability of the web browser. Hand building your website keeps the code as clean as possible which is great for search engines and users. We’re all about the code – the clue is very much in the name.

Website revisions are included in your package. We’ll send you a link to preview your site before it goes live so you’ll be able to check it over in your own time and ask us to amend anything until you’re happy with it. It’s a great opportunity to get feedback from friends, family and customers as well.

Content pages

How many pages you’re going to need is the main difference between the packages. For most business websites, we suggest as a minimum having a Home Page, About Us, Products / Services Page, and a Contact Page as a minimum.

If you have an existing website we’ll use that as a base for your content, updating it and improving it as required following our initial info session with you. You can supply us with all the content or we can do the initial content development and you can adjust it as required. We know everyone is different, so whichever method works for you.

Your page content is vitally important for attracting search engine traffic and converting visitors into customers. We consider both throughout the content development process.

Custom domain and email address

We include your custom domain name (eg yourbusiness.co.uk) in your monthly package, both the initial registration and annual renewal. We register it under your name so you can always take it with you. Do you need an email address to go with your custom domain (eg info@yourbusiness.co.uk)? We include at least one mailbox with every package. You don’t have to have one, but for most businesses it gives a more professional impression to customers than using your old Yahoo or Hotmail address.

Hosting and SSL certificates

Hosting on fast cloud servers is included. We go to great lengths when building your website to ensure that it downloads as quickly as possible for your site visitors, so we aren’t going to let the hosting get in the way of that. Likewise SSL certificates – they’re a necessity these days if you don’t want Google (or your customers) to think badly of your website, so we include them in your package as well.

Social media and other links

We’ll link to any of your social media pages (eg Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) from your website so that your customers can easily find them. We’ll also add structured data to your website so that search engines know to associate those pages with your business and your website. It doesn’t have to just be limited to social media sites either – depending on your business we can link to your dedicated page on review sites like TrustATrader or governing bodies and trade associations. It all helps to establish trust with your potential customers and with search engines.

Search Optimisation and Local SEO

We know how vital it is for your business to be found by customers on Google and other search engines. We integrate SEO best practices from the start of the website development process. We make the most of on-page elements such as titles, headings, meta tags, document structure, semantic HTML and clean machine-readable code.

Throughout the development process we ensure that your site’s Core Web Vitals are as close to perfect as possible with fast loading times, minimal download size, no code bloat, optimised images, etc.

We don’t rely on 3rd party plugins for structured data which means that we can tailor it specifically to your page content.
